Got electrolysis on my chin and now I see tiny white bumps. Area is a bit red and sore.
Only using sunscreen + La Roche-Posay cream.
Is this normal or should I be concerned?

I’ve been getting my chin treated for months (coarse black thick, hormonal hair as I have PCOS and high testosterone ) and barely saw results. My old electrologist could clear everything in like 45 mins, but I always felt the hair being pulled out like plucking. She was using some white small machine I have no idea.
Today I tried someone new using an Apilus machine and it felt completely different. She took her time, did multiple zaps per hair, and the hairs just slid out with no resistance. But in 45 mins she couldn’t even clear the whole area — there’s still quite a bit left.
My skin now is red, a bit swollen, and slightly sore — it actually feels like something was properly treated. With my previous sessions, I barely felt pain, skin healed in like 2 days, and honestly nothing much changed.
So now I’m confused — does this sound like proper electrolysis? Is slower + not clearing everything actually a better sign than before?
