Hi everyone, I’d really appreciate any advice you can share with me or would love to hear from anyone who went through something similar.
I had a Mirena iud for 3.5 years and got it taken out on April 12th because we are ttc. I then had my leak on LH ovulation strips on April 17th, and tested for pregnancy every day starting after 8 DPO. Unfortunately all came back negative and I started my “period” on May 1st.
I say “period” because I don’t even know if this can be considered a period. It’s EXTREMELY light and DARK. I would more so call it black/brown discharge, and only wore a panty liner for two days. At this point I’m not wearing anything (May 6).
I’m very concerned that this is going to mean that this cycle isn’t successful. Can I still ovulate normally and get pregnant this cycle even if I’ve barely had a period?
I was told that I could get pregnant immediately after taking out my iud.
Has anyone experienced something like this after removing a merina iud? I’d appreciate any comments / info people can provide.
(I am going to buy a basel body thermometer tomorrow)
