A different Astro Boy?

I posted these menko cards a while back, but I've done some more digging, and I'm wondering what people think. In my research, it appears that Takeo Nagamatsu (creator of Golden Bat in the 1930s) created a character called "Atom Boy" in the post war years around the time that Osamu Tezuka was creating his Astro Boy. Nagamatsu's adventure science fiction picture story "Atom Boy: The Iceman of the Demon Sea," was serialized in 142 installments on page 2 of the evening edition of the Chubu Nippon Shimbun (now Chunichi Shimbun) for six months, from June 30 to December 29, 1952. I don't have access to any images from that picture story, so I can say for sure that these cards depict this other Atom Boy, but it certainly seems like a strong possibility.

Anyone have thoughts?
