My CP0030 won't take M4 screws

Hello fellow Canyon riders !

I have an Ultimate equipped with a CP0030 cockpit, and I would like to set it up with a computer mount. I've read everywhere it needs to be installed with M4 screws (10 to 16 length).

Which I did, but my M4 screws won't catch the screws thread and they turn into the void...

I specify it is a second hand acquisition. Has the previous owner destroyed the screws threads by using the wrong type of screws ?

In other terms : am I screwed ? (hahahaha)

Thanks in advance for your precious advice !

All the best,

Etienne

About a second-hand Ultimate CF SLX 8 Disc LTD

Hello dear Canyon riders,

I have a shot at a very beautiful Ultimate CF SLX 8 Disc LTD from 2022, the one designed by Konstantin Grcic.

I fell in love with this bike's looks, without even saying it is a piece of collection - only 50 of them have been produced I believe.

But beyond that, it seems like a great machine for what I'm looking for : a stiffer, racier bike than my current endurance-oriented one, that won't sacrifice too much comfort on flat rides but definitely will ease my climbs and descents.

It weight less than 7.5 kg and has a great Sram Force eTap AXS group, 12 speeds, 48-35 / 10-33 (another good point for climbing). Also DT Swiss carbon wheels, integrated cockpit and a power meter.

It is pretty used - around 20'000 km - but seems in pristine condition as far as photos show, and the owner claims no scratches or stains. I will meet the bike in person tomorrow to validate that point, and ride it a little bit.

What would you guys say is a fair price for such a bike ?

Considering it is a limited edition and could be even more valuable in future years.

Thanks in advance to those who will stop there and take Time to share their thoughts 🙂

All the best,

Etienne

Hello dear Cube riders,

I have a good chance at acquiring an Agree C:62 Pro, in the 53 size.

I like it because it represents a nice upgrade to my current aluminium endurance bike : a much lighter machine, a little bit more race-oriented without sacrifying too much comfort, with a nice set of components (Ultegra Di2 !!) that should last a fair amount of time (maybe forever) before becoming obsolete for me.

I am 178 cm tall and referring to Cube's size-table, I am just at the top edge of the range.
I also am in the very middle of the upper size (56), but I saw a Litening (apparently same frame) in size 56 and it feels slightly bigger than my current bike.

So my question is : when you feel like you are between two sizes, which one would you recommend to go for ?
And more specifically, I would be glad to hear about any of you guys riding a bike that appeared to be undersized by the books.

All the best,
Etienne
