Positano vs Sorrento, September
Will be heading to the Amalfi Coast for 4 nights in late September. Our flight lands in Naples in the evening, so thinking of staying there for one night and then base ourselves somewhere else for the remaining three.
What we’re after:
**•** Good food
**•** Relaxing walks
**•** Some nightlife/bars
**•** One day trip to Capri
**•** One day at a beach club
Open to other things on the remaining days, but we don’t want to overdo it bouncing between towns.
I’m leaning toward Positano - it looks magical at night, has the beach clubs and Music on the Rocks is on my list. But I keep reading it’s a pain to get around, super busy and very touristy. Sorrento seems like it might be more laid-back and easier as a base.
For a couple in our late 20s prioritizing food, atmosphere and a relaxed-but-fun vibe, which would you recommend? Any specific restaurant, bar, or beach club tips welcome too.
