I lost all motivation to train
Hello everyone,
I am a 39 y/o female runner. I ran 2 marathons, many road races and many trails and even many triathlon races.
I ran a marathon in december, then stopped for a month (first mistake), i then started a new training plan in juanury for a half marathon in April but had periostitis so i lowered my training to 2 sessions approx/ week (i used to train 4 to 5 times). I ran my race on 19 April and even though i didn't feel great and didn't PR, i didn't suffer from my injury which is a win.
I didn't seriously resume training since then. I ran a 16Km and a 25 km trail races on 1 and 8 may, but i am so extremely unmotivated !
I registred to the Marathon du Mont Blanc in june and i don't feel ready at all. I would definitely finish the race but I really don't wanna travel to Chamonix just to suffer and be unhappy about the result. So, I will probably skip that race.
My next option is the Uludag 30K in Turkey in july.
Some people say, and i agree to that, that registering for a race is a good motivation. But it doesn't work at all 😛
My problem now is that i have zero motivation to train. I feel tired, and i find any excuse not to go.
Please share experiences and tips.
