Hi. This is Mushu. I rescued her from a home 3 years ago (she is about 6 now ) and I aabsolutely adore her. Year 2 of having her, i took her to the vet for a check up and they determined (after xrays) that she needed surgery to remove follicles that were unable to pass. We had the surgery done and she recovered well. That is until brumation. I noticed her typical burmation cycle was longer than previous and I grew concerned. She had never been a lively girl (she was over weight when I got her and I dont believe she got a lot of exercise), but when she woke up, she wasn't herself. She barely moved and hardly wanted to eat. I took her in again and after months of testing and an ultrasound later, we determined that there was something wrong with her.
- an enlarged liver (hepatomegaly) that appears brighter than normal on the ultrasound, along with swollen blood vessels in the liver. We also found an irregular mass in her abdomen that looks like reproductive tissue.
Both of the diagnostic options would require expert help and hundreds if not thousands of dollars. Even with getting the results, i fear that we wont be able to cure or heal her completely.

I need advice!! I love her and I believe that as her owner i have a certain responsibility, when it comes to deciding her care. I dont know what to do. I cant afford the vet bills anymore and idont want to see her in pain, but I want to make a logical decision.
Is it best to get the testing done to find out what may be wrong (testing may not give a definitive answer)? Is it best to surrender her to a place that might be able to afford the care she needs? Or am I a horrible person even considering euthanasia? I dont know how her quality of life will be if I leave her untreated. But I hate the idea that she may be in pain and I cant do anything.
