What to expect from a girl

I am (24M) talking to a girl(20F). She and I working at a commercial building about 3 months ago I saw her and liked her but not courageous enough to ask her out. After a month she got miraculously interested in me but I was still a coward not to ask her. I was afraid she might decline, luckily her friend came to me a week ago asking my number for her. I was shocked first but gave my number. We start talking, at first she was showing genuine interest and ask for ft but now for 3-4 days she is very distant. I don’t know what happened she replies after 1-2 hours of my text. Is there anything wrong or am I expecting it to move fast. I ask her to go for a coffee but she first agreed and then give me an excuse. I don’t know how women wants a relationship to start and work. This is my first time having such interaction with a girl.
Need genuine advice. Add the thoughts of a girl in the initial phase or what she might be expecting from me.
