Mild spoilers for blood of Olympus

Everytime I even think of her, my blood BOILS. I hate this bitch so much. In pjo shes essentially a cult leader for teenage girls and grooms them into joining her. And in actual myths shes not much better! Her whole thing is "protecting women and girls" yet when her best friend is r*ped by her father, she turns her into a bear. "Protecting women and girls" my ASS.

In pjo specifically, nobody fucking says anything about the fact she sniped a 12 year old girl into joining her, and that she has a group of 10-16 year old girls that follow her every command and rarely see their families if ever. She also doesnt give a FUCK about her hunters, basically expressing nothing more than mild annoyance when TWO THIRDS of her hunters were being brutally slaughtered. She only cares about them to a point she can manipulate and inspire loyalty from them.

FUCK Artemis, FUCK Zoe Nightshade. While we're at it? Most of the Greek gods aren't safe either, fuck those guys. Sensitive assholes.

But everytime I read or hear anything about Artemis I instantly get pissed. Whether is be myth Artemis or pjo Artemis, she fucking sucks. She belongs in tarturus alongside most of the gods.

Let me start off by clarifying, I do NOT hate the trans community. I am fully supportive. NOBODY should be forced to live in the wrong body and NOBODY should deny them basic rights because of the choices they.make to align themselves better with what they are.

HOWEVER. Ifucking hate how anytime someone does/likes something stereotypically something that the opposite gender does, they're called an "egg"

Allow to give an example. In video games, I typically prefer to play as male protagonists when its a game with a set protagonist, like Joel Miller, Arthur Morgan, Jin Sakai, etc. But when it comes to games where you make your own character, such as skyrim, cyberpunk 2077, elden ring, etc. I prefer playing as a girl. Why? Well, better customization, women are pretty, and there's also hit ox stuff (mostly in online games, but I digress) but overall, I prefer playing as women in games because of the better customization.

Now, whenever I say this, I always get people posting this fucking image and saying im an "egg"

No, just because I lime playing as girls in games doesnt mean im.a trans women. No, women who are tomboys are not all Trans men. No, not all femboys become Trans girls. And no, just because I like some things that are stereotypically feminine does NOT mean I'm Trans. Im fucking tired of the Trans community online trying to "diagnose" people and I ESPECIALLY hate the term "egg" because of this.

Now, I fully support the trans community. I have no issues with them (besides this ofc) so this isn't me hating trans people, moreso I hate how some of them try to "diagnose" others based off of arbitrary gender norms. Oh, a girl likes boy things? Egg! Oh, a boy likes girl things? Egg!

No. Sometimes, they just like things that aren't typically correlated with society's perception of how their gender should be. I hate to be that guy, but sometimes its really just not that deep. I'm fucking sick of this part of the trans community, as it's genuinely harmful and is just shitty.

Edit: im glad most of you agree, and also, I was not aware that transvestigating was the wrong word, what im actually referring to is "egg culture" and yes, I do hate actual transvestigating, I might actually post about it since when peopme have shown examples I've also gotten annoyed.

I wrote the page itself in a different writing software, and pasted it into there. but how is this for a first page? the first chapter is planned to be a fight between him and the beast hes tracking, and will end with him stumbling upon an estate of a different character, and passing out due to blood loss. so, how is this for a first page in terms of

Intrigue? how hooked are you, how interested are you in wanting to see more?

pacing? Is it too slow, not descriptive enough?

immersion? How immersed are you, can you visualize what i'm describing?

Please be brutally honest. I know its one page, so its not a whole lot to go off of. But I want this story to really suck readers in. Grammar will be fixed later, that's not a huge priority in terms of feedback.

Naturally, during high-school, when you write a paper its usually 500 words or so, so im used to writing things short and sweet. I cannot seem to shake this mentality. I want to bulk things up in a good way. I mean, I'll write a chapters worth of stuff in two pages. Its kind of frustrating, as I want to pace things out better and do a better job of fleshing things out with dialogue and descriptions, but I can't seem to.

I've struggled with this for a while, ever since I've begun dipping my toes into writing, I find myself with the same problem. What would normally be a chapter or even several im concluding in only a few pages, and my pacing is WAY too fast.

Now, I could always write short stories, but I dont want to. I want to write long, complex stories but my mind seems be blocking it.

Did anyone else struggle with this? I hope im not alone.

Tldr: im writing too damn fast and too short. Any advice how to stop that?
