I'm trying to remember the name of a picture book I read as a child where there was a man paddling down a stream/river and at the shoreline there were a boy, a girl, and various animals that would complain that they were tired and wanted a ride down the stream and at the end the boat was too full and tipped over the man and the animals falling into the stream with the man taking everyone back to the cabin to warm up by the fire and have a bowl of porridge or soup.

Please help! I remember reading this at my grandparents house all the time as a small child!
