I'm sure that I am missing something, but how do I edit an envelope or sub-category? Say that I want to change the name, change the color of dot beside it, or simply delete a sub-category that I made by mistake while setting up my budget. Is this possible?
I see this was asked one time before, but is the ability to import from Budget Friendly Budget on the radar at all? I am seeing a lot I like here but I would like to avoid having to start completely fresh. I also have a budget file from Actual Budget, but that is stale now by 4 months. Thanks!
I was wondering if the process of manually entering transactions could be made more keyboard friendly. In a competing app I've been using, I never need to reach for the mouse to enter transactions. Hitting "n" starts a new transaction, tab to the payee and start typing until a match is found, tab to the category and type until a match is found, tab to memos, tab to inflow or outflow and enter that, and then tab once to Save or twice to Save and Add New and I'm done.
In Zerosum I click to start a new transaction and click on the date, but that doesn't do anything until I click off the date to the payee field. Typing until a partial match on payee is found and then tabbing to the next field leaves the payee field blank. Same thing for category- entering a partial until a match is found and then tabbing ends up selecting none. Entering an amount in the Outflow column and then trying to tab down to Save ends up erasing the dollar amount entered.
I really like what I see in the app overall, I just find that entering a transaction involves a lot more friction than I am accustomed to, hence the suggestion for a more keyboard-friendly approach. Thanks for all the work done in this great app!
