Radial Head Fracture-how bad is it?

Fell off my bike two days ago and got put in a splint with radial head fracture as the diagnosis. Orthopedist didn’t see the X-rays but went off the report. Second opinion suspects no fracture but trauma to the elbow and bone. Non doctors of Reddit—what’re your thoughts?

Broke arm 126 Days before IM 70.3

Was on a bike ride today, fell off my bike and fractured my left radial head. Super bummed but trying to stay calm. Realistically, with 6 weeks of injury, how likely is it to still do my first IM70.3?

I’m super active so this is a huge blow. Currently training for two running relays (one of which was in two weeks so I’ll probably have to pull out) and a 200 mile ride. Has anyone been through this before? Any tips?

I’m dog sitting two Portuguese water dogs for a week while the family is away. They found me through my place of work since I’ve sat for coworkers before.

Pretty straight forward, no meds and three walks with food and treats.

The issue is though:

  1. I fell asleep at my own home the first night (climbed a mountain the day before) and they used their ring camera to call me out on it. I offered to comp them.
  2. the dogs are crazy. Jumped over th dog park fence today and lost their collar with air tags.

I feel so bad about this and quoted them $40/night originally but now I just feel like saying screw it and comping it all.

Hi so as the title suggests the binging is coming back. For about 3 years now I’ve been overdoing cardio and binging at night. First it was just nuts and fruit, now it’s graham crackers, protein powder, protein bars, any cracker in sight. It’s really distressing. I’ve gained from about 119 to 136 in the last 10 months. It feels like the binging slowed and now it’s just all out.

For context it happens most when:

  1. out of boredom, trying to kill time
  2. whenever I’m babysitting or house sitting
  3. whenever I get home from work/late at night right before bed
  4. a way to numb loneliness (I live alone, far away from my family)

I’m over it. It’s ruining my life. It’s preventing me from doing everything I want to do. It is easy to excuse as my body being hungry because I still don’t have my period but it’s getting to the point where i don’t even feel anything. I just feel like I shove it all down and then have to sleep upright because I feel like I’m gonna throw up. Help. Please.

I successfully summited Mt Hood this morning through the Old Chute via 1’oclock route. It was incredible.

It was my very first climb and I went with timberline mountain guides—let me tell you… THEY ARE FANTASTIC. I felt so prepared and so safe it was insane. If you’re a novice and just wanting to crunch something off your bucket list please choose them.

I didn’t get many photos because it was so windy and cold (literally didn’t take any layers off the entire time) but it felt incredible to reach the summit.
