Hi there, I’m a new fresh baby vegan. My friend convinced me after talking about his veganism and reasons for it. I told him about another friend I have who went vegan for the guy she was dating and has been for decades now. His response was to say that dating someone wasn’t a good reason to go vegan. My thought was more of “does it matter?” Wanted to get others’ thoughts on that.

ETA: Even in 3 weeks of being vegan, I am more convicted now than I was 3 weeks ago. So I wholeheartedly agree with those saying that hopefully the deeper reason/meaning will grow the longer I am vegan.
