Tesla Model 3 front suspension rattle/clunk over small bumps what could it be?
I have a 2021 Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD and I’m trying to diagnose a front right suspension noise.
### Symptoms
- Dull rattling / clunking sound
- Mostly at low speeds (20–30 km/h / 10–20 mph)
- Happens over small repetitive bumps or rough roads
- Sometimes completely disappears, then comes back again
- Sounds like multiple small “tok tok tok” impacts
### Already replaced
- Front shocks
- Lower control arm bushing
- Upper control arm (previously)
### Tests already done
Brake test:
- Noise stays even with light brake pressure over bumps
- So it does not seem brake related
A mechanic checked the suspension and says everything feels tight:
- Sway bar links / end links seem OK
- Sway bar bushings also seem OK
I attached a video with the sound.
At this point I’m thinking it could be:
- Sway bar end links
- Sway bar bushings
- Top mount / strut mount
- Maybe steering rack?
Has anyone had a very similar sound on a Model 3? What ended up being the cause?
