I am a recently completedy bachelor's degree in Information Systems from CUNY School of Professional Studies in NYC.

For several months, I have been trying to enroll in the Information Technology Masters degree program offered at UoP.

Though, I am still waiting for my degree to be released; However, I was able to obtain my official transcript from Parchment and an official validation certificate from National Student Clearinghouse with confirmation of my degree with Cum Laude distinction.

This has been a back and forth pace with UoP which has gone on for about 6 weeks or so.

I have received several correspondence emails from Admissions requesting for more documents.

I decided to withdraw my application and enrolled with American College of Education / ACE for and will be pursuing my Master's degree in Organizational Leadership.

The process was so much simpler with ACE. I reviewed the requirements for their Masters degree programs along with the credits and cost.

I learned that the cost of the degree is 9000$ which okay, is a little more than UoP which is about 5k ( although, it is Tuition free).

I am very disappointed with how UoP Admissions are pretty much dragging their feet. Whereas, ACE had someone from Admissions contact me the same day, broke the entire process down for me.

I sent my transcript directly to them from Parchment and within 48 hours I was accepted.

It is often said that " good things come to those who wait" I also don't want to prolong my advanced degree because of the lack of presence from UoT.

It's not my intent to degrade this institution, but share my experiences as someone who waited some 36 years to return and earn my degree. I graduated from Highschool in 1986 and decided to return to continue my studies in 2018 where I attended LaGuardia community college, completed my Associate degree in Applied Science in 2021 and went on to earn my Bachelor's in Information Systems in 2026.

Hence my decision to pursue my Graduate degree. I will be the first person in my family to achieve this. It will most certainly be recognized in September, 2027 when I will hopefully complete my Masters degree.

I wanted to share this experience with you all and hope that you don't encounter any of this along your journey.

Thank you.
