Please tell me what to do or if my plan is a good idea.

I have been burned by 3 different stylists. I showed them exact images/ inspo pics. I wanted a soft natural balayage. I wanted to be my natural brown at my roots and through the mids and just a couple baby lights of color poking through here and there in the ends. I did not want my hair bleached and foiled through the top section. The stylist assured me she wasn’t using bleach and was using a non-damaging clay lightener. I should have stopped her but I felt like it all happened so fast.

I will put an inspo pic in the comments.

As you can see, there is a 6-8 inch bright orange section in the middle of my hair. I don’t even care about achieving the balayage inspo. I just want my hair to look normal and tone this down.

I can’t go to a salon because I am too busy and it is too expensive. I don’t trust the same salon I went to.

I want to put wella color 4n Demi permanent hair color and use a volume 10 developer. I would apply it directly to the orange for 10 minutes and then all over for 5 minutes.

Does that sound like a good plan? Any tips are welcome!!
