Insurance Claim Regected saying hospitalisation was not warranted
My father was admitted in the hospital because he had dizzy spells and fell unconscious. He also had injuries from the fall. When we wanted to discharge him on the same day, the doctors said we could but they would issue a letter saying it was against doctor’s advice. So we decided to go through admission and after conducting all tests, doctors concluded that there was nothing wrong that may have caused his condition.
The insurance claim was rejected stating that hospitalisation was not warranted. Do we have any way to fight this claim? How does the insurance company decide what may or may not be warranted for something they were not present for at the time of injury?
