We’ve been working for months on stabilizing our first tank and are just making headway, having introduced some fish recently. I ordered Ecology of the Planted Aquarium by Diana Walsted so we could begin to not just measure and add stuff but actually learn what we’re doing. Unfortunately, instead of educating me, Walsted’s book only made my eyes bleed. It’s above my pay grade, too much for this aging brain. Any suggestions for beginners to understand the basic chemistry of planted tanks? Reference book suggestions also welcome.

I tucked a small amount into my order with Den’s Tea, not knowing what to expect. I’ve really enjoyed it and now am left wondering how this ranks in the minds of others relative to different vendors. I will definitely reorder this unless someone tells me I should sample something else first.
