Some newb questions
Hi, I know that this might seem like some dumb technical questions, but I thought that there was no other place better than the WEC thread to hear from the enthusiasts themselves.
It's still only two races so far that I've seen, but I had some key questions coming from F1.
So coming from F1 as one of the many "this is gonna be our year" Tifosi, I was very keen on seeing AF Corse's onboards, and one thing that I noticed during the two races is that the drivers got a "brake now" alert on their steering wheel. Is this common across endurance racing? And it might be a dumber question, but why is it legal?
Another thing that I noticed is the rear lights of GT3 cars. I noticed from the onboards of hypercars, some GT3 car rear lamps sometimes flashed, alternating from left to right, sequentially. Is this a certain signal for cars behind? If so, what does this signify?
