Beautiful condition. Spotted in a grocery store parking lot on Long Island.
About 4 years ago I decided to try growing some paw paws from seed. I’ve had them in nursery pots since then as I wasn’t completely sure if I was staying at my current home long term, but we recently decided it was time to fully commit and I’d like to finally get my healthiest looking pair in the ground.
As they’ve grown all 5 plants have developed a sort or corkscrew at their bases. Did not plant them deep enough when I first started them or something else? I’d love to get them in the ground asap, but should I plant then at a similar depth or deeper? Appreciate any advice!
