I’m starting my straight teeth journey and was told by my ortho that everything looks great except some gum recession. I was advised to see a periodontist about a gum graft before we start Spark Aligners. I went to the perio (getting grafting done this week) and he told me I have two teeth with short roots next to the tooth I’m getting grafted. He could not believe nobody has ever mentioned it to me before. I’m a little worried about the ortho not mentioning it and am wondering if I should get a second opinion about the aligners? Is it a big deal that the orthodontist didn’t mention it to me?
