Hello,
I am brand new to the sewing game. My grandmother just gave me her Singer 160 after not using it for a few years. This morning I tried using it for the first time. I can't seem to figure out how to wind the bobbin correctly.
I've tried numerous times to thread my machine for winding a bobbin by following the steps of the instruction manual. I'm pretty sure i'm threading it properly at this point, but everytime I press on the pedal, the bobbin begins to fill but then stops and shows error code E2 (Abnormal signal from bobbin winder shaft).
I've also noticed that the needle keeps moving even when i set my machine on the winding mode (bobbin winder shaft slid completely to the right). And from what I understand, the needle should disengage (stop moving) when switching to bobbin winding mode?
Is there anything I'm doing wrong, or is something else going on?
