Hi everyone.
I have a toy poodle who is about 8 years old. She was found to have a stone in her bladder and is scheduled out for a procedure in 2 weeks. Since yesterday she only is peeing blood when she pees, before it’d be every once in a while. I called her vet they prescribed gabapentin to help with pain. Their advice was to call the pet ER if I was concerned over her condition over the weekend. I was quoted double the price for an emergency vet procedure compared to the one already scheduled out for her through her vet in 2 weeks. What I’m trying to figure out is if she needs this procedure done asap or if it’s okay to wait with her medications. Any advice would be much appreciated.
