Outdoor lights advice!
Looking for opinions on outdoor wall lighting + lumen recommendations for our patio renovation.
We’re replacing the two existing wall lights either side of the bifold doors with modern warm-white up/down wall lights (similar to the attached photos/render).
Layout:
The large patio area on the right will have an 8-person outdoor dining table
The left side in front of the light will have a small lounge/fire pit setup
Goal is cozy evening entertaining/dining lighting rather than super bright security lighting
The lights I’m looking at come in:
640 lm
1280 lm
1920 lm
I’d likely install 2 lights total.
My concern is:
too dim = unusable for dining
too bright = harsh/commercial/security-light vibe
I’m leaning toward the 1280 lumen version in warm white (3000K), but would love opinions from people who’ve done similar patio lighting setups.
Do you think:
This style of light suits the space?
2 x 1280 lm sounds about right?
Would 1920 lm each be overkill for a patio this size?
