How much lower can it go?!

The digital Trust that the Future needs cannot run on a blockchain that does scale or compromises on trust.
As we enter the AI world, Trust is needed more than ever before.
For many blockchains, agreement across a wide variety of nodes has to be expensive for the bandwidth to be able to keep up. That or ease off on the distribution to make things faster (L2s). End users pay for it in transaction fees (txstreet.com). We've seen tx fee spikes to huge numbers during very busy market periods, often when users need to transact the most.
If you tried to run the internet off 28k modems, the demand for bits would be enormous and the price per bit would be enormous.
Hedera will leave all blockchains for dust and emerge the true winner when the demand for true distributed trust can be supplied at phenomenal throughput without compromising on security and governance, or transaction costs.
How does Canton manage to generate so much in fees? Over $2m per day? And where does it go?
Recent council members have been super impressive. Who's next?
Sadly, HBAR continues to sink just like bitcoin and it's even worse when you consider the opportunity lost from regular stock market investing in an environment of high inflation and money printing.
How does Hedera stand out clearly amongst a cacophony of blockchains?
Where is the train pulling us to? What is the destination?
He's a smart guy. At least he's being realistic - seems it's not going to work out for ADA
Leemon predicted this Great Consolidation many years ago.
ADA is looking more and more like a Magellan, Lycos or an Altavista
https://solana.com/news/subscriptions-and-allowances
We saw massive progress from Sui with their spheres last week. Now it's massive progress from Solana!
"Allowances (Fixed Delegation) let a user pre-authorize a one-time spend up to a defined cap, with an optional expiration"
Amazing!
Hedera could have just copied account the way Bitcoin and Ethereum did it - be conventional and safe. No, Hedera had the vision and foresight to re-imagine the account and the way wallets would work in the Future and has had allowance capability for many years now.
Can we plz haz perfect certified randomness provided to Hedera smart contracts?
https://phys.org/news/2026-05-randomness.html
The Hedera rng is fabulously useful - would love to see certified rngs available on Hedera as we enter the quantum age.
Goosing along like a Soviet military parade.
Why do we allow ourselves to be led by crypto-anarchists and average IQ liquidity machine generator hype grifters?
There have been so many attempts at solving the interoperability problem over the years. Envisaging, designing, engineering and making available CLPR, an open protocol that works on pretty much any chain was not only an act of selfless generosity, but also a genius strategy move to pull trust txns into Hedera like water gets pulled into a whirlpool.
With CLPR, the huge forces of the Bitcoin/Ethereum/Solana center of gravity can now be harnessed and bent in the direction of Hedera. It makes pure economic sense that those who need Trust (capital T) would gravitate towards the DLT that's most secure, fast, fair, well-governed, predictably priced and works at global scale. CLPR is a brilliant piece of work - so many have tried and failed. Hedera's selfless open strategy is genius move.
Then there's other problems Hedera has solved (each one of them genius):
- scalability, security, fairness - abft hashgraph
- best-in-class governance - Hedera Council
- private key management - DeRec protocol
- platform risk - migrating code to Linux Foundation Hiero
- open source, expert-level Asset Tokenization Studio (ATS)
- etc.
I cannot fault the strategy and execution. It's amazing to see the network of networks evolving.
Retail discussions drying up, price at 7-9 cent and below ICO price, tps going nowhere, bagholders galore.
The year of scale, other DLT projects simply copy/pasting Hedera's technology and narrative, new high quality council members not moving the needle.
Hedera turning into a NeXT rather than an Apple?
Is trust in blockchain projects breaking and capital going elsewhere? Why would Hedera be different and worthy of attention and capital?
Time to move on to tradfi opportunities with far better risk:reward? Or just keep watching Bitcoin price and hope Bitcon going to $100k will save Hedera? And accept that Hedera will always be inferior?
I get Leemon's vision, I really do admire him, but I don't think Big Tech, Big Finance, and Big Gov want change and prefer to keep things the way they are.
Cisco has released an open-source tool "to trace the origins of AI models," reports SC World, "and compare model similarities for great visibility into the AI supply chain."
Are we expecting anything next week?
Or are we to live in the Future for just-another-while-yet?
