Hello everyone!
I'm looking for an old single-player space game. (Released between 2000 and 2015)
Features:
- You had to defend your home (starting) planet and attack other planets yourself in order to win.
- You could only click on the planets to conduct research or build units there; you couldn't build directly *on* the planet's surface.
- To the best of my knowledge, the base-building gameplay wasn't that deep—just simple research and simple construction. simple defence.
- You could build defensive structures and space stations near planets.
- It also wasn't turn-based.
- In this game, you could construct ships and conquer—or even terraform—planets.
- Various alien races, each with their own technologies, which could all be acquired to create units that combined all these technologies. (If I remember correctly, there was also something insect-like among them.)
- I recall that in this game, enemy units usually arrived via warp gates (or something similar).
- There were units with special abilities, including "Hero" units whose abilities were at an exceptionally high level.
Story:
In the final mission of the game, you had to use your Hero unit (a spy or thief) to infiltrate a space base and blow it up.
Once you completed the final mission, you learned in the epilogue that the main enemy race was actually just the "slaves" of an even more powerful race (which also indirectly hinted at a sequel).
If anyone knows this game, please tell me which one it is.
