Unfair and Misleading 1/10 Booking.com Review Based Entirely on Guest’s Mistake

Can Booking.com Remove This Unfair 1/10 Review?

We kindly ask Booking.com to reconsider this review and investigate whether it can be removed.

The guest booked a Double or Twin Room with Side Lake View. The room type, description, photos, and our messages with the guest clearly confirm this.

We provided exactly the room that was booked.

The guest mistakenly expected a Direct Lake View room, even though this was never advertised or promised. We politely explained the difference during the stay, but the guest refused to accept our explanation, became frustrated, and appears to have left this review out of frustration.

There were no complaints regarding cleanliness, service, maintenance, amenities, staff service, or facilities. No objective issue was reported during the stay.

The guest left a score of 1/10 with the title "Bad" but wrote "Nothing" in both the positive and negative comment sections, providing no explanation for the low rating.

Applicable reasons for removal in this case:

  1. Factually Incorrect Review The guest received exactly the room that was booked: Double or Twin Room with Side Lake View. The room type, description, photos, and our messages with the guest clearly confirm this.

  2. No Explanation Provided The guest left a score of 1/10 but wrote "Nothing" in both the positive and negative comment sections, providing no explanation for the low rating.

  3. Misleading and Unsupported Review The review suggests that the property failed to deliver what was promised, when in fact the guest received exactly what was advertised.

  4. Retaliatory Review The guest became upset after learning that they had booked a Side Lake View room rather than a Direct Lake View room and appears to have left the low score out of frustration.

  8. No service issue occurred. There were no complaints about cleanliness, maintenance, amenities, or staff service.
