I wanted to share our experience in case others are going through something similar.
I’m a dependent spouse on my husband’s EB-3 process. My I-485 was approved on 03/06/2026, and his I-485J was approved the same day. We were very excited and assumed his green card approval would follow right away—but it actually took about 6 more weeks (approved on 04/22/2026).
During that time, we started getting a bit anxious, especially wondering if we would need to correct my card. Our lawyer advised us to wait until his process was fully approved before taking any action.
We received his card this past week, and to our surprise (and relief), his “resident since” date matches mine—03/06/2026, based on the I-485J approval date. So everything worked out, and no corrections were needed.
