I made Google Street View for Azeroth (WoW Forever)
Hey all,
AzerothGPS StreetView is a companion addon for AzerothGPS (the turn-by-turn GPS addon). You grab the little figure off the map, drop it on any road, and a full 360 degree view of that exact spot pops up. Drag to look around, scroll to zoom, and click the arrows on the ground to walk down the road while the map follows you.
What's in it:
- Around 1,900 street views covering roads all over the Eastern Kingdoms, Kalimdor and Zephras Isle, roughly one every 200 yards. Heads up: that's about 1.2 GB of pictures, so they're split into four separate download packs, since CurseForge caps how big a single file can be. The CurseForge app grabs them all automatically when you install the StreetView addon.
- The capitals: Stormwind, Orgrimmar, Ironforge, etc.
- Every dungeon and raid boss. Shift-click a boss on the dungeon map and you're standing in their room
- Wildlife hanging around along the roads
- A few dozen hand-picked famous spots (Gadgetzan, Lakeshire, the Crossroads, Light's Hope...)
And the part I really wanted to make: Where in the Azeroth?
It's GeoGuessr for Azeroth. You get dropped into a street view with no zone name and no coordinates, you look around, and you double-click the map where you think you are. Closer guess = more points, and a lonely road in the middle of nowhere is worth more than a spot next to a town. You can play solo, against bots, or with others. You just drop a link in party, guild or whatever channel and people click to join. There are three difficulties, from the terrain map up to a bare world map with nothing revealed.
You should know:
- These aren't screenshots. Every view is a 3D render made from the game's own map and model files. Some things may look a bit... off. If a picture looks broken, like you're stuck in a wall, black patches, or floating rocks, post the zone and coordinates from the title bar in the Discord or on GitHub and I'll get it fixed. Ideas and feedback very welcome.

AI disclaimer: Yup, I built StreetView with help from AI. It also helped check the renders for problems. I came up with the ideas, wrote specific portions, made the design calls, decided what's in and out, and tested it all in game. If AI-assisted projects aren't your thing, totally fair.
