Okay so a buddy of mine needs some transmission oil for their ford ranger. She’s broke and can’t buy any, I have some old (new) transmission oil that is MerconV. I have 2 quarts of that. I know because it still has the label

I have 1 quart of transmission oil that is unreadable and I would like to atleast try and identify it before I say no she can’t use it because I don’t know what it is

I do know you’re not supposed to mix trans fluids and she needs Mercon V in her truck.

Both bottles came from O’rielys

The smell is somewhat similar but not exact. Probably because I had opened one bottle (the 5 quart) and it’s old ish. But the 1quart was unopened until today
