I recently received this pen as a gift from my mom, and she isn’t someone that would go to an unauthorized dealer for this kinda stuff.

From some research I believe I have the meisterstuck 149 with a piston filler. However, after following instructions, it doesn’t pick up ink at all.

I looked closer at the pen, and found it doesn’t have an ink window. In addition, the tail cap comes off easily, as shown in the pictures.

A bit of research says that the lack of ink window and the removable tail cap are signs of a fake pen. I’m not sure if that is the case to be honest.

Am I doing something wrong?
