Hi everyone 👋
I’m considering moving within Mexico City and I’m currently looking into these areas:
- Mixcoac
- Merced Gómez
- San Pedro de los Pinos
- 8 de Agosto
- Lomas de Plateros
- Observatorio
- Carola
- Ampliación Alpes
- Las Águilas
- Lomas de Tarango
I’m looking for a place that’s well connected within the city, ideally with relatively easy access to the metro and good overall mobility options. I do have a car, but I’d prefer not to rely on it all the time.
I’d really appreciate any insights regarding:
- 🚶♂️ Safety and overall vibe (day and night)
- 🚇 How practical and close metro access is
- 🚗 Real traffic conditions during peak hours
- 🏢 Building conditions (doorman, parking, general maintenance, etc.)
- 📍 Specific streets or areas you’d recommend or suggest avoiding
Any real-life experiences or advice would be super helpful 🙌
