Xf 70-300 paired with xh2 - thoughts?
In general day to day my xf33 1.4 lives on my camera and I'll keep that sweet prime forever.
Semi regularly I end up renting a Tele for trips, usually the xf100-400, which has gone well for me.
I feel a bit daft renting teles all the time so I was thinking about buying my own for more consistent use with a view to getting out and practicing more regularly. The price new, the range, the IQ and improved AF while zooming all sound ace. I particularly love the idea of having a Tele that can be a pseudo macro lens. Plus the size is a little more convenient, though that's probably not my main drive.
Use case is a more versatile kit I guess, some wildlife, light macro, pulling out landscape details with compression. I love the xf50-140 but I think I'd like more reach and it's quite a bit more expensive. Between a voucher I have and a Fuji cashback offer I can get the 70-300 really quite cheap.
My questions:
- can anyone speak to how well this lens works on the xh2?
-is the output comparable to using the 100-400 (on the 40mp sensor)?
-anything else I should know?
Thanks for any help and advice :)
