Life sci or Kin or dental school
Hey everyone, I’m trying to decide between Life Sci and Kin at McMaster and I want to go to dental school in the future.
From what I’ve heard, dental schools usually require a really high GPA (+11) along with prerequisites like English, organic chem, biochem, etc (different prereqs depending on the school). I’ve also heard that first-year Life Sci can be extremely difficult.
For anyone currently in either program (or who was pre-dental), which program do you think is better for maintaining a high GPA while still completing dental school prerequisites?
Also, how manageable are the courses, workload, and electives in each program? Do Kin students have an easier time keeping a high GPA, or is Life Sci still the better choice overall for dental school prep?
Any advice or experiences would really help. Thanks!
