I was recently made redundant and I started a UC claim to keep me going till I find a new job.

I always thought that appointments at the JobCentre was fortnightly.

I attended only my second appointment on Friday and the lady I saw (I haven’t been appointed a work coach yet) was quite dismissive and only skimmed through what I had put in my online journal. She then said that they will up the ‘intensity’ of my job search and scheduled my next appointment in one week, and said I would be coming in weekly from now on.

Ive not claimed before….is this normal?
