Hi everyone,

I’m currently pursuing my MBA (Finance) from a Tier 2 college. I did my Bachelor’s in Arts, so I know my background is a bit different from most people going into finance.

Right now, I’m interning at a small firm where I mostly work on invoices and billing, and honestly, I’m not learning much. I’ve been trying to find better internships or live projects, but haven’t had much luck so far—maybe because of my background.

Finance is something I genuinely enjoy, and I’m putting in effort to build my knowledge and keep up with my peers. But I don’t see myself going into core finance roles. I’m more interested in consulting or general management roles.

I do understand that coming from a Tier 2 college, getting into these roles—especially through placements—can be tough. That’s why I wanted to ask for some honest advice:

  • What can I do to improve my profile/resume?
  • What skills or projects should I focus on?
  • How can I actually get relevant internships or live projects?

Would really appreciate any guidance. Thanks a lot!

My mom was diagnosed with spinal Tb a few months ago. It look a long time to diagnose it and we started her on the meds. But in february, she started complaining about vision loss and her ethambutol medicines were discontinued. She has not seen any improvements and is on multivitamins too. She is depressed af, as she is not able to work or do anything.I am trying to support her, but every night she cries aloud saying her life is useless. Can someone guide me, will she get her vision back? Also, every doctor is saying to be patient, but I do not know if a recovery is possible now.
