Please help/ need advice
So I have been dealing with migraines for almost 2 years now. I’ve been on Aimovig for 2 months now and take rizatriptan as needed: but last week my left side of my neck was hurting so bad I could barely concentrate and my head was hurting but it wasn’t a migraine. I ended up going to the ER because the pain was unbearable and they gave me a 6 day taper of Prednisone and muscle relaxers. I had never taken either before, but I started that day. Once I got to the 6th day of my prednisone tablet, the last day, I felt extremely horrible. Headache, dizziness, extreme nausea and it broke me into having a migraine that was intolerable. Literally exactly a week from being in the ER for neck pain I was back in for severe migraine. All they gave me there was magnesium and flexoril (idk how to spell it) I have had a migraine for 6 days straight now. I’ve gone to physical therapy to try and get rid of it (obviously the ER as well) I’ve gone to acupuncture, and I’ve gone to my primary care physician and nothing will break this migraine. I’ve taken ibuprofen, Aleve, Tylenol, Tylenol, everything and I just feel spacey and my body feels fatigued. I just don’t know what to do I feel like my doctors don’t care or just don’t know how to help. I am just in so much uncomfortable pain and it’s hard watching everyone else around you get to live their life while you are miserable. It’s hard to do anything even little tasks before my head starts pounding. I am constantly laying in my bed on my phone or watching tv and I just want to be functional. I feel like laying here in bed is just making my posture worse and my neck worse but I can’t do anything else. I constantly ice my head and neck but it barely gives me relief. I just need help. I also hate taking new medication I always deal with the side effects. I tried a sample from my doctor on day 3 of the migraine and it made everything worse and amplified. I hate having migraines so much. No one in my family understands so it’s really hard. Please if you have any suggestions or just have anything to say let me know thanks
