Looking for travel advise in Jan 2027 for 3-4days

Me, my wife and our <1yr kid would be travelling from Toronto to Dubai (4days), then to Delhi, India (5-6days) and back to Toronto.

I am looking to surprise my wife with a much needed break during her maternity year. A 3-4days trip after our India stay, and on the way back to Canada. The stay shouldn't be too out of the way, and preferably is a direct flight from Delhi. We can fly back to Toronto from this destination.

Travellers- Wife, myself and ,1yr kid

Preferences-

- Somewhere which is not too cold (like Canada in Jan), warm would be great.

- Direct flight to/from Delhi, or Direct flight from Delhi to there, and from there to Toronto

- Not overly expensive

Options I looked at (happy to get more ideas)-

  1. Maldives- Direct short flight from Delhi. But I've heard it's quite expensive and bit overrated.

  2. Spain- Might not have direct flight, and weather might be wet.

  3. Greece- Again, no direct flights probably.

Thank you in advance.

Asking for a friend- A colleague got hit by a car right outside the office building when he was on way to work early morning. The driver ran away. Thankfully the injuries aren't serious, but some time off and physio appointments needed.

Apparently the Union said he will not be covered by WSIB, as it was not work related and did not happen inside the building.

I want to know from the experienced members- is this how the WSIB works? My assumption was he was on his way to work when he got injured, so he should be covered under it.
