If this is true I think it's great. No reason to charge extra on a premium bike for features it already has

So I currently ride a versys 650 which is a fine bike but it's quite underwhelming. I rode a tracer 9 and didn't love it. The position didn't mesh with me and the fairing bracket was rusting on the showroom floor. The cp3 felt lifeless on the bottom end, almost like it had a powerband. A dealer semi close to me has a 2024 890 smt marked down to 10k. All the reviews seem stellar but I'd like to hear some real world experiences. I'm 44, have been riding over 20 years. I want something comfortable that I can do 200 miles on but also something engaging to ride. How has everyone's experience been with this bike and for any USA people who purchased recently, what did you pay?
