needle hitting part of bobbin case and won’t sew continuously

as far as i can tell, the needle is inserted correctly but after one rotation it hits a part of the bobbin case i can’t clearly see and won’t sew any further. when i remove the needle the machine sews completely fine so i’m wondering how to mitigate this issue? am i inserting the needle incorrectly or is the bobbin case in the wrong position? in either case, does anyone know how to fix it?

this is my grandma’s old sewing machine she hasn’t used in years and it’s quite old so finding info online has been a challenge. any help is deeply appreciated 🙏🙏🙏 it’s a Singer Fashion Mate 362

reattached handcrank incorrectly and now the needle and wheel don’t spin together (??)

i took on the task of fixing my grandma’s old sewing machine and seemingly attached the handcrank back incorrectly. now, the inner dial (i’m not good with terminology but hopefully the picture gives a clearer visual) moves independently to the larger wheel. there was a small metal piece between the inner dial and the wheel (which i think is for the rotating mechanism inside the machine that moves the needle up and down) and i think i put it in the wrong place, which makes me unable to unscrew the inner dial from the machine at all.

i am so afraid that ive just inadvertently ruined any prospect of using this sewing machine so if anyone knows how i can unscrew this seemingly unscrewable dial, PLEASE HELP ME I AM DESPERATE.

i hope the video shows what i mean a little clearer…
