put these two in a room together yall who’s winning???

i’m just bored and have gotten back into the show after quite a bit so. i’m curious as to everyone’s thoughts on some of my takes lol

1. i kind of understand why christi was so upset with kelly after the whole “pink lemonade” fiasco. christi can be a hypocrite sometimes, but i understand her desire for empathy in certain scenarios

2. nia is/was one of the most entertaining soloists, regardless of whether not she was the strongest dancer. she is always very expressive when she dances (without being over the top imo), which made her a joy to watch

3. “everyone excuses queen holly way too much—“ OKAY WE GET IT. truthfully i don’t think ANY of the mothers get away with “too much”. at this point, they’re all mostly criticized

4. kelly is/was the best mother to her children, based on what we’ve seen from the show.

5. “stop comparing maddie and chloe” sorry but who cares? this is a dance moms subreddit and one of the show’s earliest and major plot points was the competition between maddie and chloe. we’re not comparing their personalities or their looks, but the dancing. what is the issue?

i KNOW this topic has been discussed EXTENSIVELY on here, so i really apologize in advance, but i am still SO unclear on the show’s general contract, its ramifications, and how it relates to the show/moms.

im genuinely just very curious, especially in judging whether or not the contracts held serious weight or if it was just a flimsy excuse

1. first of all, did the moms only sign a contract agreeing to season 1? and if yes, then how did they manage to get “locked in” by the producers for the next 3+ seasons?

2. how serious was the contract and its implications? are you telling me that these people REALLY couldn’t have found a single way to nullify it, given the producers’ and abby’s abuse?

like i’m very confused as to whether or not “but the contracts!!!” is genuinely a solid, legitimate excuse that could not let them escape no matter the circumstances… and to me, these circumstances were very bad.

even take kelly for example— she stormed out of the studio with her girls like 3-4 times, sometimes missing a couple of episodes, supposedly because of abby’s behavior towards paige or brooke… but to me it looks like her way of protesting being on the show, and doing whatever she can to stay away for as long as possible because the producers + abby humiliated her and her kids on national tv.

so like… are you telling me that this single, binding document prevented her for so many years from finally leaving? or did she actually, willingly choose to storm off because of abby, and then return shortly after “for the team”?

i just don’t get the whole thing. i know there are many missing details but if anyone has any info on the contracts in relation to the moms i’d love to hear it lol.
