During the Mexican delegation episode, when June is freaking out to Nick about how she should have said something truthful about her situation to the delegates and Nick is trying to comfort her, but calls her offred; I remembered the scene and June’s reaction, but on this rewatch i’ve noticed that he doesn’t even follow up with anything of substance like actually asking her name or apologising…just ‘can i get you a glass of water’. She has to offer up the information herself after a long silence. Even the fact that they had been sleeping with each other and he didn’t think to ask her real name at any time. It’s a small but not insignificant detail imo.

btw, I know people love Nick, don’t come at me, it’s just a thought

I hope i’m just speaking too soon because obviously I should watch the whole season before critiquing it, but after episode 6 i’m just kind of confused. I won’t say too much in case of spoilers for people but her flashbacks kind of change how and why she became who we saw in the handmaids tale, her motivation, her belief, and her morality. I saw her as someone who was extremely bitter and envious, who found an outlet for her rage and disguised it behind what she forced herself to believe was a righteous cause. I find her interesting because of that. Now, it doesn’t seem to fit as much… let me know your thoughts
