Got my 2010 DA63T last week. 2” lift, and put 300lb coils in the front and a helper leaf in the back. Love it. Questioning the lift kit though… wondering what folks think about 2” lifts on these trucks.

After about 200km of driving on mostly smooth county roads, the inner CV boot already blew out. I assume they packed it with too much grease or it had a tear in it or something.. but I’m pretty unhappy about that. That aside, I notice that the lift does put quite an angle on the driveshafts and really messes with the camber on the front end. Same with the rear—Without dropping everything else, the driveshaft is on a pretty good angle. I also added a leaf in the back, but will likely want to upgrade the shocks now too because they’re topped right out.

Anyway. The 2” lift looks good, and makes sense to get the truck up off the ground a bit if you use it off road. But I’m wondering if I’m just going to be replacing driveshafts constantly, or if there’s something I can do to help this little lifted truck out.

Just bought a 2010 DA63T. 40,000 km on it. Has a 2” lift but stock tires. Looks great and drives great BUT, it makes an awful kind of a rattling sound during deceleration. Only really over 60km/hr. Seems to happen as soon as I take my foot off the gas even a little bit. Otherwise it drives super smooth.

I assume it’s not normal to be loud even at 80km/hr… right..?

Any help diagnosing this would be great. I’m kinda gutted because I just bought it.

In the video I switch back and forth between accelerating and then letting my foot off just a touch.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.
