[pjo] Luke Castellan and Dallas Winston
Whoever first decided to compare Luke Castellan to Dallas Winston from the outsiders you understand me on a very deep level. But actually, seeing the line from the outsiders with Lukes name in it saying
"Luke didn't die a hero. He died violent, young, and desperate. Just like we all knew he'd die one day. Luke Castellan wanted to be dead, and he always got what he wanted"
is I think a near perfect argument for what I believe Lukes death should mean. In all this discussion of was he a hero or not, I think that question misses a large point of the books when taking into consideration the situation of Lukes death.
Anyone got any other deep kind of emotion connection between Percy Jackson characters to quotes/characters of other maybe more classical media? The kind that is gut-wrenching or eye opening in a way.
