Success with SSRIs
I know SSRIs get a lot of hate on this subreddit, but for my case in particular, they have been helpful. I (M19) have had anhedonia for about 4-5 years, seemingly occurring for no reason. Once I realized I had bad anxiety (it has been hard to notice cause its been with me too long), I started taking lexapro. It has been 4 weeks on 10mg lexapro and I am slowly noticing my mood and anhedonia improving, as well as short periods of actual enjoyment. If you have bad anxiety and anhedonia, you might want to consider SSRI treatment. When your body is anxious all the time, it can't enjoy things.
