My 4 mo old is a bottle refuser. We’ve been working hard with lactation consultants and he took 2oz from a bottle on his first day of daycare on Friday (I fed him right before drop off in parking lot and only left him 4 hours).
Today, he nursed from 7:00-7:20ish and drank 1.5 oz from a bottle at daycare at 9am. I pumped and got 3 oz. At 11:45 daycare said he was refusing his next bottle so I went and nursed him (12:30ish). I thought he would be screaming when I showed up, but he was sleeping peacefully. He nursed, but didn’t seem starving and kept popping off to smile at me.
He refused his next bottle at 3pm, so my husband picked him up. They said he was not fussy except when they tried to give him a bottle. I am nursing him now at 4ish and he is again not seeming that hungry.
I’m worried that he is eating too much overnight. He was sleeping in the bassinet 75% of the time, but started waking so often (every 45-90 minutes) that I basically gave up and just cosleep. He re-latches often overnight. My hope was just to ride out what I think is a 4 mo sleep regression then move him back to more time in bassinet (cosleeping hurts my hips). Is cosleeping making bottle refusal worse? Helpppp!
