Argenx acquires Forte Biosciences for $2.2B — Could FB102 become a breakthrough treatment for vitiligo?

Argenx has acquired Forte Biosciences in a $2.2 billion deal, gaining FB102, a first-in-class anti-CD122 monoclonal antibody. Unlike JAK inhibitors, FB102 targets the IL-2/IL-15 receptor β chain, aiming to reduce pathogenic T cells and NK cells while sparing regulatory T cells (Tregs). In its Phase 1b trial, patients continued to repigment even after treatment had stopped, making it one of the most intriguing investigational therapies in the vitiligo pipeline.
