Hello, I have a web agency with a Google Business profile, and we've launched a new AI tool with its own website. Would it be relevant to create a separate Business profile for it? Are there any best practices to follow in this kind of case? Thanks in advance,

Hey everyone,

I'm building a GEO tracking module inside DAIA (daia.sfi.fr), a dashboard that measures how visible a website is inside generative AI responses : ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Mistral, etc.

The idea: traditional SEO is no longer enough. AI tools are becoming major entry points, they cite brands, recommend products, and influence decisions. But almost nobody is measuring this in a structured, trackable way yet.

What I'm already doing:

- Pulling Google Analytics data to identify sessions where the source is an AI (ChatGPT, Perplexity, etc. show up in referrers)

- Cross-referencing with Google Search Console to detect queries that seem to be generated or influenced by GEO engines

What I'm still trying to figure out:

1. ⁠How to query AI models directly (via API or otherwise) to check whether they cite a given domain for target queries
2. ⁠How to reliably identify that a session actually came from a generative AI (referrers aren't always trustworthy)
3. ⁠What GEO metrics you think are most worth tracking in a dashboard
