Small transparent/white spots appearing on my MacBook Air M4 display — possible screen defect?
I recently noticed around 4–6 small spots on the display of my MacBook Air M4. They don't look like normal black/dead pixels. They look more like tiny transparent or white/blue spots, almost like there is a small bubble or something underneath the display.
I can mainly see them when the screen is dark or when light reflects off the display. When I look at the screen without direct light/reflection, they're sometimes difficult to see. I also noticed that I can see the spots when the MacBook is closed and the display is reflecting light.
I've gently cleaned the display with a microfiber cloth, but I'm still unsure whether these are actually inside the display or just reflections/surface marks. I haven't dropped the MacBook or spilled anything on it. I have carried it in a normal bag, but there was no known impact or pressure on the screen.
The MacBook is still under Apple's warranty. Has anyone experienced something similar? Could these be defects in the display coating/layers, or are they just reflections? Should I take it to Apple for a warranty inspection?
I've attached photos showing the spots. Any advice would be appreciated.
