Name Change to Mattel Game Studios

I noticed the name changed to Mattel Game Studios from Mattel163 and found this on Google:

"Announced in August 2026, Mattel Game Studios is a global digital game division by Mattel. It unites a team of nearly 300 developers across Los Angeles and Hangzhou to build free-to-play mobile games and user-generated content (UGC) experiences for franchises like UNO and Hot Wheels. [1, 2, 3]

Key Details

Parent Organization: Operates under Mattel Digital Studios.

Team Size: About 300 video game staff members.

Locations: Los Angeles, California, and Hangzhou, China."

Based on this, it seems to me that Mattel is far from backing down from using bots to take money from children.

The sooner these game developers are sued, the better in my book.

Uno Rigged Game Usernames

One thing I'm seeing more and more of is people with usernames that point towards the game being rigged.

Off memory, I saw usernames like I Was Robbed, or Game is Rigged in the Uno app.

Has anyone else noticed usernames that point towards the game being rigged or being ripped off?

A reminder to put any evidence of rigging or bots in this Facebook group called 'Rigged Uno Mobile Player Alliance'. Just search for Rigged Uno Mobile Player Alliance on Facebook. I am not affiliated.

As someone recently posted, game developers can be fined big money for rigging.

Are Mattel Corporate In On This?

So I did some research on the Uno app. It's developed by Mattel163 (Mattel and a Chinese company).

Taken from Google;

"The official Mattel UNO mobile app is developed by Mattel163, a joint venture between Mattel and the Chinese internet giant NetEase. Released in 2018, the app is fully localized in Simplified and Traditional Chinese. The Chinese domestic version is known as 一起优诺 (Let's Play UNO)."

It got me thinking. I think the branding for Mattel and the card based Uno game is positioned around fun and family games.

This Uno app is attracting comments across multiple forums in relation to bots, unfair algorithms, manipulative gameplay and rigging.

People are reporting they are losing money and the game does not openly declare when bots or AI are being used from what I can see.

Do people think the Mattel corporate office is aware what is going on and how their brand may be affected or do people think this is being led by the Chinese entity and Mattel corporate aren't actively involved?

I just find it amazing how a fun friendly family game can be digitised and attract so many negative comments.

Has Anyone Noticed?

Has anyone noticed that when there are a lot of items chucked or when people say hi that they are more likely to lose the match?

Plus I have an idea now when a +2 or +4 is going to come my way. Does anyone start to notice when they are going to load you up with cards?

Pathetic Experience With In App Help

Has anyone tried to contact the in app help?

Not once have I ever seen them respond on behalf of a real person and on many occasions, the responses seem to lack the right context.

They ask you to send replays and then don't refund you any coins. Even when the replay shows I had absolutely no chance to engage in a fair game

With post after post being about Uno Bots and rigging, I shouldn't expect the Help to offer any value but this is just another component of a 'game' that takes money and lacks morals in my view.

Uno Bots / Algorithm After The Update

I've been absolutely smashed with losses since the update.

I recall others mentioning that the bots and algorithms took their coins during the last update.

Once they drain my coins, I'm deleting it. I'll never pay a cent for the game as I don't trust it.

Let me know how you get on.

Huge Price Jump After Scheduled Auction

I just saw the attached listing.

It was scheduled to go to auction last Saturday.

I don't know the outcome of the auction but it has just jumped in price quite significantly.

Why would a house price jump this much if it failed at an auction at the lower price?

Fed Up With This Crap (Bots and/or Algorithm)

Game after game where there is no chance of winning. Draw 4 and draw 2 played against you, massive amounts of cards thrown your way to drain your coins.

There has been times when one player has had all cards of the same colour, odds which would typically be 1 in the thousands.

It seems to me they are intentionally loading up your cards so they can drain your balance quite significantly.

Please don't encourage this behaviour and use real money as some people are claiming it gets even worse once you pay. The sooner this app has tighter government regulation, the better

Another Dodgy Uno Experience

I think another really dodgy element of Uno is where you can only block 3 Bots/Players.

In addition, they eventually display the attached message where they say to wait before reporting other bots/players.

I will attempt to block and report as many profiles as I like if I think they are bots and/or have something dodgy about them.

I would be very surprised if reporting profiles really results in anyone being booted, particularly if they are bots setup by the developers, but you should never be prevented from blocking or reporting as many profiles as you like
